Reviving a Historic Gem
This colonial revival home in Syracuse, NY, was an absolute dream to transform. With its rich history and classic architecture, I wanted to honor its charm while giving it a fresh, modern update that worked for today’s living. Bold colors and rich textures were key to bringing the home to life, adding personality and depth to every room. The kitchen became the heart of the home, with warm wood tones, crisp whites, and smart storage solutions that made it both beautiful and functional. The living and dining rooms were brought to life with restored trim, luxurious layers of textiles, and a cozy yet refined vibe that made them perfect for gatherings.
The primary suite was where I got to have some fun, creating a clever layout that felt like a true retreat while incorporating rich fabrics and thoughtful details to make the space feel special. One of my favorite spaces is the bold, jewel-toned bedroom—its deep colors are unapologetically dramatic, and the combination of textures brings so much personality to the home. And the main bathroom? Elevated with gorgeous wallpaper, timeless tile, and layered finishes, it’s a true showstopper.
This project was all about breathing new life into a historic home while embracing the power of bold colors and tactile textures. It’s proof that thoughtful design doesn’t just transform spaces—it creates stories, layers, and moments of joy in every corner.
